I finished my Autumn Shawl a few weeks ago, but never found time for taking photos. Glad I waited -- I got a vintage dress form from Craigs list today, for only 20.00! Both the pattern and the yarn were great fun!

I finished the first of what I suspect will be many projects from the Sock and Glove book. This project was a bit more labor intensive than I had anticipated, and I put it away for about a month after I started it.
I am quite pleased, though, with the end results. Baxter likes it too, and carried around body parts for a while this afternoon.
I had hopes of making these with my nephews, but I'm wondering if they would get frustrated and give up on the fiddly bits? My co-worker who gave me the book said the elephant was the hardest project from the book (and isn't it just like me to jump in with the most difficult), so I'll give one of the easier softies a whirl and see if it seems likely that they will be able to finish the project.

I made a quilt for a baby shower this spring, but I don't think I ever posted a picture. I just can't seem to get enough of batik fabric.
I just finished another baby shower gift - fishy wash mitts. I got the yarn and the idea at the Alamitos Bay Yarn Company, but I modified the store pattern to knit in the round, and changed from garter stitch body to stockinette. I didn't want to sew seams, and I thought garter stitch might feel too rough on a baby's skin.

Hooray - only halfway through the Ravelympics, and I'm done with a WIP! I don't think, though, that I have any chance of finishing the other 4 projects that were on my list . . .

A completed project at last!
I finished a pair of pajamas for my nephew. I think this is the first time I made clothing from a pattern as an adult. The last time I remember sewing clothing from a pattern was a skirt in junior high when I took sewing lessons.
I had to make a few phones calls to NC to ask my mom some questions, but I'm quite happy with how they turned out!
I suspect I'll be making some lighter weight ones for the summer!
